I should like to thank all 20 volunteers who were able to come to our beach clean yesterday, in particular Margaret who very kindly organised the event on the day.
The intensive clean only yielded some 1.35kg of rubbish.However this did include a large amount of small plastic plus our first ever IV drip! The rest of the team removed a further 26.35kg.
I should also like to thank Ben and the staff at Beachside for providing tea and coffee afterwards in their restaurant,Coast.The good weather made sitting on the terrace a great way to conclude the morning.
The next clean sees the group returning to St Ives Bay Holiday Resort, meeting at 10.00am down near the Shore Surf Building. Margaret & I will be away but Lucy and Andrew have again kindly agreed to stand in on our behalf.
Please note that if Andrew & Lucy cannot find a place to park near the surf school and swimming pool, they’ll be located in the lower car park. This is found by turning right and not left as you approach the surf school. Whilst I shall continue to collect names of those who can attend, Lucy can also be contacted on 07842 656986.
