Weekly Habitat Survey

On behalf of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust we are helping to survey Upton Towans habitats by following a structured surveying technique using 2mx2m quadrats at specified random locations within the Upton Towans area.  We assess % cover of different types of vegetation, measure the height of the vegetation at set points within the quadrat, note negative and positive indicator species for the specified dune habitat and then mostly for fun we hunt for other interesting plants within and close to the quadrat.  All information is recorded on Survey 123 app.

We try to do 4 quadrats each session and finish around 3pm.
Bring water, lunch, sun protection, waterproofs etc
