Details: Godrevy Warren is private land which means it is undisturbed by trampling human feet or dog mess enriching the soil. Invading scrub has been a problem and recent scub clearance by Friends of the Towans has, in part, addressed this. Grazing cattle are now a more natural method of control. Because of all this The Warren has rare and endangered species, such as tor grass and lesser centaury, as well as fantastic views over Godrevy Light. It is also a Scheduled Monument because of its nationally important archaeological remains, dating from the Bronze Age to Medieval times. Come and explore this special place with Martin Rule, former Friends of the Towans ranger and current manager of the site, and members of the Towans Recording Group – who found autumn lady’s tresses here in a 2023 survey.
