Introduction to sand dune insect pollinators workshop

Join us for this free workshop:

Pollinating insects play a key role in our environment, ensuring many of our crops and wildflowers are able to set seed and produce fruit.  The Towans potentially provide a haven for wild pollinators and we’re planning to carry out some simple pollinator surveys across the Towans this summer to find out how well they’re doing.  To get us ready we’ve booked experts from Budding Nature to help us.  Join us to find out about the insect pollinators that live on the Towans, how to identify them and how to carry out simple surveys.  We’ll start with a presentation indoors and then head out on to the Towans in the afternoon for a group ID and survey practice session.

The workshop runs 10am to 3pm.  Booking is essential by email friendsofthetowans@gmail.com or message 07393 522875
