Dune Fungi

Date: 27/09/2026 @ 10:30 am

Details:
We hope to find the very rare Coprinus vosoustii at its known site on St Gothian Sands – one of two sites in Cornwall. This coprophilous fungus grows on rabbit droppings in sand dunes.
We may move to Upton Towans North to check some very likely looking sites. We will also check out the wax caps, amongst others, at both sites.
As for all Recording Group events, please come prepared for all weathers, bring food and drink and wear appropriate footwear for potential rabbit holes and rough terrain.
If you are interested in joining us for this event please email botanyjo@gmail.com and don’t use the link below because we won’t be able to read your message.

Directions: Please meet at Gwithian Green carpark shown in the location link.
